You join automatically

You join the Plan automatically when you start working for AkzoNobel. You can choose how much you want to contribute and where your retirement account is invested.

If you don't choose your own contribution rate it will be automatically set at 3% of your Pensionable Pay and you will only benefit from the minimum AkzoNobel contribution of 6%. Similarly, if you do not select your own investments, you will be invested in the LifePath fund with a Selected Retirement Age to match your State Pension Age. You can change these options at any time at  http://mychoice.towerswatson.com

What if I don't want to join?

If you don't want to join the Plan, you must contact the administration team on 01707 607597. Think carefully about this decision as you and your family will lose these valuable benefits:

• You will not receive contributions from AkzoNobel.
• Your life cover will be based on a lower salary.

If you decide not to join the Plan and change your mind later on, please contact your HR adviser. The Trustee will decide whether you will be able to join and conditions may apply.
