If you have less than thirty days� Qualifying Service, your retirement account will be closed and no benefits will be paid to you.

If you decide to leave the Plan while still employed by AkzoNobel, your options are the same as described above.

• Leave your retirement account in the Plan to provide you with benefits when you retire. You can take your benefits at 65 or earlier as explained in Benefits at retirement. No further contributions will be paid but the value of your retirement account will continue to be adjusted in line with investment returns.

OR

• Transfer the current value of your retirement account to another registered pension plan. Your transfer value will be broadly equal to the value of your retirement account.
